SECURE A SPONSOR

Thank you for your interest in securing a sponsor to host a visit by
The Three Doctors!

Drs. Sampson Davis, Rameck Hunt and George Jenkins are extremely grateful that so many have embraced their story and sought their attendance at so many wonderful events. However due to the overwhelming amount of requests and their demanding work schedules they unfortunately are unable to accept all invitations, especially those for smaller venues. As such, securing an event sponsor will allow a broader segment of your community to see the doctors speak. We therefore encourage you to view the following to help you reach out to potential sponsors regarding their support towards a future visit for your area by The Three Doctors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is a sponsor and what role would they play in helping me plan a visit by The Three Doctors?

A. A sponsor is an individual, organization or corporation that provides full or partial funding and other resources towards the event that would feature The Three Doctors. Sponsors can include but are not limited to banks, retail stores, hospitals and government agencies.

Q. How do I locate a sponsor in my area?

A. You can visit a company located in your area and speak with their management representative who should be able to clarify their process for requesting sponsored support. You can also identify potential sponsors on the Internet on the company's website (target.com, walmart.com, etc) or general websites like www.foundationcenter.org. You can also approach government officials in your area that may be able to provide grant funding to cover event expenses. Some sponsors will want you to submit your request in writing so click here for a template letter that may be helpful in this regard.

Q. Do the doctors ever speak separately where I could invite one of them to our event?

A. No, the doctors only speak as a trio.

Q. Why does it cost money to plan a visit for The Three Doctors?

A. Funds are needed to cover fees related to travel, logistics and time invested by the doctors. Please note when the doctors accept invitations and travel throughout the country a significant amount of time is taken away from their full-time careers, so sponsored funds enable them to accept more invites on a regular basis while recouping finances lost as a result of being away from work.

Q. How much does a sponsor need to provide for a visit?

A. The sponsorship amount will vary depending upon the itinerary planned for the doctors. In addition to the doctors' honorarium the sponsor should be prepared to cover travel, accommodations and other logistics needed to host the visit. If you haven't already, please be sure to email a proposed itinerary and desired event date(s) to windy@threedoctorsfoundation.org so that you may receive an official quote for your engagement.

Q. What should I do once I've found a sponsor who is interested in funding a visit?

A. You can discuss the planned visit with the sponsor directly where you would work with them to develop an event budget as well as an outline of the audience expected to attend, the proposed timeline and any specific role your group or the sponsor would play during the program (introducing the doctors, providing closing remarks, etc.). You may also ask the sponsor to contact Executive Director, Windy Smith at windy@threedoctorsfoundation.org or (973) 493-1030.

THE BONDThe Three Doctors-Drs. Sampson Davis, George Jenkins, and Rameck Hunt-discovered early in their friendship that they shared one disturbing trait: As children, they had to navigate life in inner-city Newark without a father’s support and guidance. While each young man dealt with the turmoil caused by an absent father, with no male role model to turn to for advice, each veered dangerously close to a life of delinquency and crime. But despite great odds, the three overcame the statistics. In high school, they formed the Pact, a promise to one another that they would become doctors, and it kept them dedicated to one another and to their dream, and helped to put them on the road to successful careers as physicians.

THE PACT : Three Young Men Make a Promise and Fulfill a Dream. ORDER TODAY!

As teenagers from a rough part of Newark, New Jersey, Sampson Davis, Rameck Hunt, and George Jenkins had nothing special going for them except loving mothers (one of whom was a drug user) and above-average intelligence.

Their first stroke of luck was testing into University High, one of Newark's three magnet high schools, and their second was finding each other.
